Dormant for too long

Hey Everyone,

Well this blog has been dormant for far too long!  We know there are so many ways to communicate these days and we all have our favorite, but we have not been good at posting on our blog.  So we are going to try YET again to be faithful with updating our blog to keep you posted on what is going on with us and the exciting things God is doing daily!

That being said so much has happened in our lives over the past year.  We have been fortunate to survive another year of law school, had the opportunity to lead people to Jesus, traveled around the world, and added another munchkin to our family!  Ashley had an uneventful pregnancy and completed her pre-nursing courses during these past few months.

Speaking of our family, there are several pictures fresh off the press below of Haven Grace our newest addition.  She was born on April 8th and weighed in at a whopping 6 pounds 13 ounces and was 19 inches long.  She is such a sweet baby!  We are beyond blessed!  She is extremely peaceful, super easy, and so so beautiful.  We have been gaga over her pictures this past week. They are so sweet.  Check out a few pictures below.

We have a lot going on around here with church and school.  Jason is one of the elders and on the leadership team here and that takes up a lot of his time.  It's been very exciting to be a part of a growing and thriving young church.  The excitement level of our people is not only encouraging but truly contagious to those in our city!  Ashley is busy discipling young women, and working for the church's training school.  True and Selah are thriving in preschool.  They both have a bunch of friends.  Selah is in a dance class on the weekends and she has a recital coming up that we are very excited about.  She is the girliest of girls, completely extroverted and will talk without stopping for hours upon end.  True is truly a little dude, he loves basketball, football, candy, and wrestling.  He is really good with both of his sisters and can fake liking a tea party with the best of them.  They are so much fun and add such great joy to our lives.  This summer will be very exciting as we travel to South Africa as a family of FIVE!

We have the unique opportunity to work this summer in South Africa reaching out to refugees and the poor, while concurrently doing an internship with the Human Rights Commission.  God has recently orchestrated this setup and we are stoked about being there.  As many of you know Africa has been on our hearts for years and only recently have we really began to dream about what being there long term could look like.  We are excited for this summer because we see it as a mini trial run for what a long-term work could be like there in a year or two.  We will also have the chance to travel around the country for a few days this summer and pray and scout out where a long term work could be.  So, needless to say, we are very excited to see what God is going to do this summer.  We are still in the process of trying to raise funds for this trip.  As you can imagine, it costs a lot for all of us to be there so please pray about partnering with us financially.  If you need more info or want updates from us we would love to keep you in the loop.  You can even make a donation by clicking on the "Donate Now" link below.  It will take you to our online tax-deductible donation site.  Just put the amount in the "Short-Term Missions Trips" section and then in the space next to it write "South Africa-Kennedys". We do online giving stuff to make your life easier, but if you want to send money in the usual way that works as well.  You can mail your checks to:

Simply put a sticky note with our names on it!  Checks can be written to Antioch Norman.
